We help water suppliers complete the validation process for AWWA water audit submissions, prepare the right documentation, and move forward with clear guidance for Department of Water Resources submission.

Level 1 validation includes:
• Review of the summary data and methods used to develop all audit inputs
• Confirmation that the AWWA water auditing methodology has been applied appropriately
• Confirmation that the Data Validity Grade assignment is consistent with the agency’s practices
• Interpretation of water audit key performance indicators
• Documentation of the Level 1 validation process and outcomes for Department of Water Resources submission and future audit reference
Required materials
- Completed AWWA Free Water Audit Software Version 6 file
(Excel spreadsheet and must be CY2025 or FY 2025–2026) - Monthly volume from own sources by finished water supply meter
- Monthly water imported volumes by import connection
- Monthly water exported volumes by export connection
- Metered consumption volumes by month and rate code
(ex. charge status, water type, or customer class) - Supply meter testing and/or calibration documentation, if conducted
